Meet your teachers!

Youth Musicians Academy prides themselves in selecting only the top high school musicians as instructors. Every instructor has studied their instrument for over 5 years, and many instructors have impressive accolades such as acceptances into New Jersey's Region Concert Band and Region Jazz Band, two ensembles comprised of only the best high school musicians in the state. Additionally, many of these students are part of Livingston High Schools highly prestigious Wind Symphony and Lancer Jazz Band, both of which have seen statewide recognition and are regarded as gold rating bands. Our Lancer Jazz Band has also made it to state finals!

Charles Budzinski

Charles has been playing guitar and bass for over 5 years, and piano for nearly a decade. On guitar, Charles has an impressive number of accolades and accomplishments, most notably him being invited to play at Summerfest alongside icons like SZA, Maroon 5, Lady Gaga, and other top artists from around the globe. He  made Region Jazz Band twice and is part of LHS jazz band.

Jacob Julius

Jake has been playing drums and guitar for over 7 years, and has played in many ensembles(some of which include the LHS Wind Symphony and Lancer Jazz Band). This year, Jake was admitted into the New Jersey Senior Region Jazz Band, and was the highest ranked high school drummer in the state at just 15 years old!

Connor Li

Connor has been playing piano for over a decade and has worked on mastering every brass instrument since the age of 10 years old! His hard work and passion have earned him a top spot in the Senior Region Jazz Band as a freshman, lead trumpet in the LHS Jazz Band, and first chair trumpet in Livingston High School's Wind Symphony!

Ryan Chen

Ryan has been playing piano since 6 years old, and since then has expanded his musical capabilities to the clarinet, alto saxophone, and tenor saxophone. He is involved in the top LHS Jazz Band for tenor saxophone, the LHS Wind Symphony for clarinet, and the Region Jazz Band on 1st chair tenor.

Yug Shah

Yug has been playing drums and piano for over 5 years. In this time, he has accumulated a variety of accolades, such as acceptance into the NJSMA Region Concert Band, participation in the LHS Wind Symphony, and admission into the LHS Jazz Band.

Most recently, Summerfest has hosted SZA, Maroon 5, Lady Gaga, The Rolling Stones, and Paul McCartney.
